Bayern Munich mourns Jamal Musiala's untimely death: condolences and tributes from the club

Bayern Munich has expressed its deepest condolences to Jamal Musiala's family following his untimely death.

The German Bundesliga giants confirmed the 18-year-old forward had died on Sunday after he was involved in a car accident in England.

Musiala, who made his senior debut for Bayern last season, was playing with friends when the accident occurred near his home in Hertfordshire.

He is survived by his mother, father, brother and sister.

In a statement, Bayern said: "We have been informed about the tragic death of Jamal Musiala. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jamal's family at this difficult time."

"We will do everything we can to support them through their grief."

Musiala,Premier League Updates who scored four goals in seven appearances for Bayern last season, was widely tipped to become one of the world's brightest young talents.

His passing away comes just days after Manchester United announced the death of 22-year-old American footballer Kairos Toney.

It is believed that Musiala was on his way back from training when he was involved in the accident.

A tribute to Musiala was also posted on the official Twitter account of English Premier League side Chelsea.

"Condolences to Jamal Musiala's family and loved ones," it read.

"It is such a tragedy to lose someone so young, but I am sure he would want us to remember him as a person full of talent, ambition and passion for football."
